The Heart Behind Eden & Embrace

Before you invite someone into such a meaningful season of your life, it’s important to feel connected to them. Supporting women and families has been woven into my story for generations. I wanted to take a moment to share a little about who I am and why this work means so much to me.

If this feels aligned, I’d love to connect with you.

For West Virginia Families

You deserve support that
actually shows up for you.

West Virginia families face unique challenges when it comes to birth and postpartum support. Rural communities, long distances to hospitals, limited local resources, and a healthcare system that often moves too fast to give you the time and information you need.

Eden & Embrace was built for this. As a West Virginia-rooted practice, Jacqueline understands what it's like to navigate birth and the fourth trimester in the Mountain State — and offers care that meets you exactly where you are, virtually or in-person.

Whether you're planning a hospital birth, a birth center experience, or an unmedicated delivery and you want someone in your corner — or you've just had your baby and the fourth trimester feels overwhelming — you don't have to figure this out alone.

If Any of This Sounds Familiar

You're not doing anything wrong.
You just deserve more support.

You're pregnant and terrified of labor — not because you can't handle it, but because you don't know what to expect and your appointments never leave enough time for real questions.

You've had a traumatic birth before and you're determined this time will be different. You want an advocate in the room, not just a provider.

You've just had your baby and you thought it would feel more natural by now. You're exhausted, overwhelmed, and you need someone to tell you you're doing okay.

You live an hour from the nearest hospital and the thought of navigating birth without someone on your team feels isolating in a way you didn't expect.

Your Doula

Hi, I'm Jacqueline

I'm a certified birth and postpartum doula and gentle sleep coach rooted in West Virginia. I've built Eden & Embrace around a single belief: that every family — regardless of where they live, what their birth looks like, or how their postpartum season unfolds — deserves knowledgeable, compassionate support.

I support all birth choices. Medicated, unmedicated, planned cesarean, VBAC, hospital, birth center. My job is not to have opinions about how you birth — it's to make sure you feel informed, supported, and heard throughout the process.

My postpartum work is rooted in attachment science, perinatal mental health awareness, and the deep respect for how hard the fourth trimester actually is. I'm PSI-trained in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and I take postpartum mental health seriously.

Common Questions

What West Virginia families ask about doula support

What does a birth doula actually do?

A birth doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during labor and birth. This includes helping you prepare a birth plan, supporting you through contractions, providing comfort measures, advocating for your preferences, and supporting your partner. Eden & Embrace offers this virtually or in-person across West Virginia.

Do you support medicated births and cesareans?

Yes. Eden & Embrace supports all birth choices — unmedicated, medicated, epidural, planned cesarean, emergency cesarean, VBAC. Doula support is about honoring your choices and being present for your birth, whatever it looks like.

Is doula support available in rural West Virginia?

Yes. Virtual doula support is available for families anywhere in West Virginia. No matter how far you are from a city or a hospital, Eden & Embrace can be with you through the process.

Can I use HSA or FSA for doula services?

Yes. Birth and postpartum doula services are HSA and FSA eligible. Use your card directly at checkout — no reimbursement paperwork required for most plans.

Do you also offer newborn sleep support?

Yes. Eden & Embrace offers newborn and infant sleep consulting as a complement to birth and postpartum doula support. Many families start with postpartum doula care and transition into gentle sleep support as their baby grows.
